The importance of healthcare has always been a primary one, now more so than ever. There are thus various advancements continuously happening in this particular field and once such innovation is Remote Patient Monitoring.
Also known as RPM, how does this work? As the name suggests it helps in monitoring the vitals and stats of various patients. The information or data being collected through the system is then stored and then transferred through Cloud to the physician. How? With an app on the doctor’s phone! Yes, it’s that simple. Thus the doctor will be able to monitor the condition of their patients way better than they can do now!
It will eventually help in saving cost and increasing efficiency of care. Monitoring will also become more effective.
However it requires a massive technological support, which a lot of hospitals in India are not yet ready to incorporate. Why? Because of the huge amount of data that needs to be incorporated and implemented and lack of technological support.
Let’s hope for a RPM future for India!
