SMALL BUT IMPORTANT HABITS OF SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE!
April 6th, 2018
Many of us are envious of other’s success, but we don’t see the hardships and failures they have put in. success does require skill and hard work but also a clear mind set. They are not just lucky or with big bank accounts, they have a strict routine they follow every day. They might seem silly to some, impossible to others, but these small habits pay in the long run.
So while there’s no proven formula, there’s no denying people that we admire share certain traits that helped them get ahead.
READ A LOT:
Read not just about your industry, but also about others. Fiction, non-fiction, pick up a book about any topic you find interesting. Dedicate at least half an hour to one hour for reading, it will help you relax and also gain knowledge about diverse subjects.
HEALTHY BODY, STRONG MIND:
Yes, you should dedicate an hour every day to do some physical exercise. Play a sport, hit the gym, take a run, do yoga! Not only it will keep you fit but increase your work efficiency as well. A healthy body keeps up with the strong mind. You will not feel lethargic and will be able to put an extra hour work as well.
SHOW UP WHEN YOU DON’T WANT TO:
Pros work even when they don’t want to work. They show up and never give up. All you need to do is break down your work and take small breaks to gain momentum.
CALM THE STORM IN YOUR HEAD:
There will be million things on your mind, things to do, tasks to finish but you need to calm your mind. Studies have shown, meditation helps fight depression, anxiety and even helps you focus better. It doesn’t come easy, but you need to practice, sit quietly for 3-5 minutes and try to concentrate.
LISTEN AND LEARN:
To listen is an art, and when you master this skill, you are unstoppable. Listen to your peers, employees and customers and even your critics, each one of them will teach you something. Learn from what they say, make the positive changes. Listen and you will be amazed what others can actually notice.
HARDWORK AND DEDICATION:
You may think this is so obvious, but it’s not. Many people find success by being unethical or by short cuts. A true successful man will never choose short cuts, because no matter how cliché it might sound, there is no substitute to hard work and dedication.
Give back to your community and society. Your society helps you to be what you are; they shape you as a person. Give back to your society in a positively. Giving doesn’t mean by donating in monetary terms, volunteer in a school, or help in any small way you can but do it.
